When youth and young adult systems and organizations don't adequately train staff and build skills using trauma-informed principles, they lose dedicated and qualified team-members and miss opportunities for creating and sustaining positive change in the service system.
When staff turnover is high, clients lack the therapeutic continuity needed to heal and recover from their mental health challenges and past trauma leading to poor job performance, social isolation, poverty, low quality of life, relapse, incarceration, or even suicide.
Silver Linings International fills a workforce development gap by combining trauma-informed and appreciative inquiry principles into a unique and powerful change process, which leads to improved staff retention, job satisfaction, youth engagement, counselor-client continuity and positive change throughout the entire system.
Silver Linings International serves:
Human service-oriented organizations like: mental health, child welfare, juvenile justice, education, and other youth/young adult-serving organizations

Supervisors and aspiring supervisors

Non-clinical and clinical providers

Youth/Family coordinators and advocates

Project/Program Directors and Leaders in charge of system-wide change
My vision is to help people find the silver lining
in their lives and for the people they serve.
I use positive psychology and appreciate inquiry to facilitate positive change in all my trainings, courses, coaching, and consultations.
