Opening up to others about how we feel can be scary. What happens over time is emotions come out sidewards and result in hurt feelings. Holding in how you feel indefinitely will lead to serious health problems.
Most of us fear being vulnerable, so take a chance with someone you trust to hold a safe, non-judgmental space for you to practice with. Do this when you are calm and write down how you are feeling. Start with asking the person to create a safe space with you to openly share your thoughts - it doesn't have to be the person you ultimately want to express yourself to. Once you get the hang of it, work up to the hard stuff. If you can't find someone to practice with, consider talking to a coach or therapist to get started.
You will feel lighter and happier getting things off of your chest when you do in a way that doesn't hurt others. You will have to risk being vulnerable, but it'll be worth it!
