There are lots of things we HAVE TO DO, but if you lined up your life with things you WANT TO DO, what a difference that would make! And it's your choice.
It's not that we can totally avoid the "honey do" list, but in general when we are scheduling activities and tasks, why not choose to 'want to' do them. It shifts your mindset and makes you automatically happier doing the mundane or undesirable tasks. You are no longer taking out the trash, you are cleaning your environment...good job!
My sister lost her husband to cancer and in one of their last conversations, he said to her, "Just take out the garbage"...meaning, "keep on living without me". Taking out the trash now makes her smile, every time. For her, the mundane task, is a task of strength and resilience. Something she 'wants to' do.
