101 days of positivity blog challenge

Hello friends and colleagues near and far.

I am launching a challenge to myself

(and if you want to join in, please do)

I am going to write a blog a day for 101 days!


Starts March 31, 2021 and runs until July 9, 2021 (my birthday!)


Why?

I want to write stories that will inspire you to see, feel, and act differently when you are struggling with life's challenges, big or small. I have been through some rough times in my life, some dark, some not so dark. I found myself searching for answers.


It turns out that a little book of affirmations about JOY that my sister gave me about 3 years ago made a difference. I'm not sure it gave me joy, but it gave me HOPE...and words I could relate to that got me through those tough times.


That led me to buying other books on positive psychology and taking the appreciative inquiry facilitator training. Eventually, I want to write a book of inspirational stories and starting to blog, seemed like a good place to start.


HOW?

As my guide through 101 days of positivity blogging, I was inspired by and am using CHOOSE THE LIFE YOU WANT, The mindful way to happiness, by Tal Ben-Shahar (2012). I wrote to him about my blogging challenge and he responded:

Each day, I will create a blog for each of the 101 ways that Tal Ben-Shahar shares in his this book about the small choices that will change your life forever. And maybe it will change your life forever, and I am sure it will change mine!
